Update from Administrator – May 14, 2020
As always, our team and I hope this finds you safe and healthy.
This week is Nurses week, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our nurses for their hard work, dedication, and compassion for all of our residents at Lanessa. We remain incredibly grateful for our entire team and ask you to join me in ensuring that they are included as “Health Care Heroes” battling COVID-19.
I would also like to update you on the facility wide testing that was conducted yesterday 5/13/2020. We were able to test all but one resident and 4 staff members. This was mandated by Governor Baker and Mass DPH with a minimum testing result of 90%. Lanessa is well within that threshold but we will retry with our 1 resident to see if they would reconsider their choice and contact the 4 staff members to get them tested as soon as possible.
We had our infection control survey with Mass DPH this morning and were told by the surveyor that she had no concerns, our PPE inventory was substantial, and our staff was well versed in infection control policy and procedures.
As a reminder, our next Zoom meeting is scheduled for tomorrow 5/15/2020 at 12:30. As always, we look forward to answering your questions regarding any center updates.
